About Concierge Travel

Concierge Travel is a Cape Town based boutique travel consultancy that specialises in creating custom travel arrangements for both corporate and leisure clientele.

The business was founded by local entrepreneur, interior designer and travel guru, Sue Lederle. Her passion for travel and seeing the world in all its colour gave her a steadfast determination to help others plan and live out their travel dreams.

Having been in operation for over a decade, our team of well-travelled, knowledgeable and passionate consultants derive great enjoyment out of planning personalised and unique experiences for our clients. We pride ourselves in going the extra mile for the customer, never forgetting that special, personal touch.

Sue Lederle: Founder & Managing Director

Q: How long have you been involved in the travel industry for?
A: Although I only started Concierge Travel in 2004, I have been lucky enough to travel the world since 1990. This means I can share first hand experiences and give advice that actually works.

Q: What are you most passionate about when it comes to serving your clients?
A: Making sure they are surrounded by colour, beauty and comfort wherever they go and that the logistics of the trip are well thought out.

Q: What is your favourite destination that you have been to?
A: Marrakech as it has beautiful architecture, gorgeous colour, fabulous people AND roses!

Q: What inspiring person would you choose to sit next to on a 10 hour flight?
A: Richard Branson as I think he has the most incredible outlook on life(and is good looking J)  – both in work and play. His motto of “don’t do it if it’s not fun” is one I totally believe in and have stuck to in all my various business and personal interests.

Q: In a nutshell, what does travel mean to you?
A: Experiencing different countryside, smells, flavours and cultures and then appreciating home on your return.

Melinda Pienaar: Director & Travel Specialist

Q: How long have you been involved in the travel industry for?
A: I’ve been involved in travel for the past 15 years, 8 of those have been with Sue at Concierge Travel.

Q: What are you most passionate about when it comes to serving your clients?
A: Understanding their expectations and doing everything in my power to ensure that I exceed them.

Q: What is your favourite destination that you have been to?
A: Mauritius. I went there on honeymoon so it will always be special to me. It is such a great destination with so many things to offer. It is a place you can keep going back to again and again.

Q: What inspiring person would you choose to sit next to on a 10 hour flight?
A: The great author CS Lewis. His books have both captivated and inspired me and even though he passed away more than 50 years ago I think he would be incredibly interesting company!

Q: In a nutshell, what does travel mean to you?
A: It’s sharing a special experience with someone… a sunset or a unique place…

Jill Inglis: Travel Specialist

Q: How long have you been involved in the travel industry for?
A: It has been almost 15 years. I have experience working in the industry both locally and abroad as both a service provider and travel consultant.

Q: What are you most passionate about when it comes to serving your clients?
A: Assisting them through their booking process with a positive approach and a smile with the end goal of exceeding their expectations by delivering the best service and attention to detail.

Q: What is your favourite destination that you have been to?
A: Tricky question as I have a few, but I must say Thailand is sensational because I can experience all the things I love…shopping, beach life, love the nightlife and it is one of the few places where our Rand offers us good value.

Q: What inspiring person would you choose to sit next to on a 10 hour flight?
A: I would have to say Richard Branson as he is a man that has truly lived his life to the full and must have a million inspiring stories to share.

Q: In a nutshell, what does travel mean to you?
A: Experiencing other cultures, their way of life, eating their cuisine and just truly immersing yourself in their day to day lives.

Deborah Sampson: Relationship & Events Manager

Q: How long have you been involved in the travel industry for?
A: 4 Years, prior to which I was working on board top cruise liners around the world for over 5 years.

Q: What are you most passionate about when it comes to serving your clients?
A: Cultivating long lasting relationships & making sure that we meet and exceed their expectations.

Q: What is your favourite destination that you have been to?
A: Have a few ….Alaska, Italy & loved the cities Vancouver & San Francisco.

Q: What inspiring person would you choose to sit next to on a 10 hour flight?
A: Trevor Noah… I like people that can make me laugh, however still make me think about the world around me.

Q: In a nutshell, what does travel mean to you?
A: Adventure and a chance to meet more amazing people.

Renee Naidoo: Travel Accountant

Q: How long have you been involved in the travel industry for?
A: What started as a part time job in 1994 has led to a career of 21 years and counting.

Q: What are you most passionate about when it comes to serving your clients?
A: It is important to me that my clients have confidence in my ability to deal with absolutely any request they may have. For me it is about exceeding expectations.

Q: What is your favourite destination that you have been to?
A: Mauritius, what an awesome place and incredible people. Oh and South Africans don’t need a visa!

Q: What inspiring person would you choose to sit next to on a 10 hour flight?
A: The author, poet and civil rights activist Maya Angelou. Her strength and determination in her beliefs was an inspiration.

Q: In a nutshell, what does travel mean to you?
A: Travel is the business of making dreams come true, and in some cases helping people add one more ‘tick’ to their bucket list.

Amkela ‘Joseph’ Ndlovu: Office Steward

Joseph, is the resident barista in the Concierge Travel office. When he is not helping our consultants and clients get that all important caffeine fix he can be found whipping up a delicious and beautiful lunch to make sure that tummies are full and spirits are high.

Joseph is never without a smile and everyone he meets finds it truly infectious.
